Celebrate National Margarita Day With These 3 Fiesta-Worthy Food Pairings

National Margarita Day is February 22. And nothing goes with tequila, lime, and triple sec better than salty snacks. Boxed your National Margarita Day with these three perfect margarita and food pairings. These quick, easy recipes take just minutes to prepare, so you can get back to the people (and margarita pitchers) that matter. We’ve ranked ‘em from one tequila to three so you can gauge how much hand-eye coordination is necessary. You’re welcome.

One Tequila: Slow Cooker Southern Beef Stew

At Boxed, we’re big fans of slow cookers. What’s better than throwing wholesome ingredients like Swanson beef broth, Hunt’s diced tomatoes (we substituted these for crushed tomatoes), California olives, and flavorful Tostitos Chunky Salsa into a pot with beef and letting it do its thing while you do yours? We love this recipe adapted from Kalyn’s Kitchen. Bonus: This recipe is paleo-friendly.

Two Tequila: Boxed Beef Tacos

Tequila can make you hungry – for one more round. And for beef tacos. This simple recipe is so easy to make so you can whip ’em up quickly and get back to the party. Just grab our Old El Paso Taco Dinner kit (includes 6 taco shells, 6 flour tortillas, mild taco sauce, and seasoning mix) and beef and you’re good to go!

Three Tequila: Bowled Over Nachos

Bowl over your friends with enough salsa to get you through a few pitchers of margaritas… and then some. These ready-in-seconds nachos are nacho average snack and pack some serious flavor. The best part? You don’t have to leave your house to make ’em.

Ingredients:

10 oz Tostitos Scoops

10 oz. Tostitos Dipetizers – Four Cheese Queso

½ cup black beans

Tostitos Chunky Salsa

Directions:

Arrange Tostitos Scoops on a large, microwave-safe plate. Spoon the black beans over the chips, spreading evenly. Drizzle Tostitos Four Cheese Queso over chips and beans. Microwave plate on high for 30-40 seconds (microwave times may vary). Remove from microwave. Pour salsa over chips and serve.

Happy National Margarita Day from our Boxed family to yours!

PSST: We have salt for those margarita rims, too.
