If you’re anything like us, you’ve been counting down to Labor Day since July 5th but somehow, the last long weekend of summer snuck up on you. Save your sanity and order a few key staples from Boxed for your Labor Day feast. These easy recipes work whether you’re planning a cookout for 10 or a couch day for two.
First, the snacks

Make sure you stock up on snacks for when your guests arrive (or when you load up your Game of Thrones marathon). Nothing says summer more than Cape Cod chips. They just taste of long days by the sea, even when you’re far from the ocean. We love them on their own or as a scoop for salsa (or ice cream!).

2-ingredient slow cooker pulled pork

This no-recipe recipe is perfect for lazy holiday weekends. Just throw a pork shoulder in the slow cooker with a generous pour of Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce and some water, then set it to low and slow for eight hours. Fork and pile onto soft buns, hon.
Baked corn casserole

Sure, you could shuck your own corn and spend the rest of the day scraping up corn husk from all over your kitchen, or you could open up a few cans of Libby’s Mixed Vegetables and mix in heavy cream and butter. Bake until golden and bubbly. As a bonus, it cooks at the same time as the wings above, so you can minimize your oven time.
Easy ice cream sundaes
Our favorite desserts for Labor Day are s’mores and these couldn’t-be-easier ice creams sundaes. Just scoop, sprinkle with any of the topping ideas below, and serve.
- M&M’s with a caramel stroopwafel scoop
- Crushed Brownie Brittle
- Oodles of Lucky Charms or Froot Loops
